I wanted to blog about the latest essay we had to write for this Film History class because I enjoyed writing this one much more than the first one. The first one was really difficult to find information about current events on my Birthday in 1914. I found the second essay much easier because we were able to use all the information from the book to help write the essay. It was also very interesting to be able to compare Hollywood to another Film Industry such as France.
I was wondering what everybody else thought? Maybe I just enjoy doing a compare and contrast essay?
This essay came easier to me as well. I found that being able to focus more on our readings throughout the semester was more familiar and made it more enjoyable. I enjoyed the compare and contrast as well, especially because each country varied so much.
ReplyDeleteI liked the essay, I enjoyed the topics covered by the chapters and it was interesting to read things such as the rise of the different production studios and how certain actors managed to keep themselves relevant in changing times. Most particularly I found the film industry in France interesting as it had to keep itself afloat under the thumb of Nazi oppression (I ended up doing my paper on France as well).
